Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones has taken to social media to express his gratitude after making his 100th Premier League appearance for the club in their 3-1 win over Leicester on Boxing Day (December 26).
The 23-year-old capped a fine performance with a goal as Liverpool extended their lead at the top of the Premier League table to six points.
Leicester took a surprise lead at Anfield through Jordan Ayew, who capped a rapid counter-attack with a lovely turn and finish in the sixth minute.
Cody Gakpo bagged Liverpool’s equaliser just before half-time to make things level going into the break before Jones made it 2-1 with a close-range effort.
Mohamed Salah then got in on the act, scoring the third goal and securing yet another victory for Arne Slot’s side in the race for the Premier League title.

The attacking midfielder is having a breakout season under Slot, starting 13 of his 21 appearances across all competitions, scoring three goals, and providing four assists in 1169 minutes of action.
Jones took to Instagram after the win over Leicester to commemorate his achievement, saying: “A nice way to mark my 100th Premier League appearance, thankful.”
Liverpool travel to West Ham for their last game of 2024 on Sunday (December 29) as they seek to further extend their lead at the top of the table.
Slot's side will then host Ruben Amorim's struggling Man United in their first game of the new year, with the visitors sitting closer to the relegation zone than the top of the Premier League table.
