Brighton striker Danny Welbeck has sent a message reflecting on their dominant victory against Man United in the Premier League.
The Seagulls destroyed Ruben Amorim's side at Old Trafford on Sunday (19 January) as they picked up a 3-1 victory to strengthen their position in the Premier League table.
Yankuba Minteh, Kaoru Mitoma, and Georginio Rutter all got on the scoresheet to secure an important three points that extended Brighton's undefeated run to seven matches in all competitions.
The win kept Fabian Hurzeler's in ninth place as they now sit eight points ahead of United, who remain 13th after his defeat.
Welbeck had the opportunity to reunite with his former United boss Sir Alex Ferguson before the game as the club honored the life of Dennis Law, and the Brighton striker reflected on that via his Instagram message.
He said, "Good to see the boss. Big 3 points. Onto the next one. Up The Albion."
Brighton forward Danny Welbeck had previously been linked with Man United
Welbeck spent six years in the United first team, and despite having left Old Trafford in 2014 he was linked with a return to the club earlier this season.
The Brighton captain has scored six goals and provided two assists in his 16 Premier League performances this season.
The Seagulls are back in action on Saturday (25 January) when they host Everton at the Amex Stadium.
Brighton currently sit just four points away from the Champions League places as they continue to push for European football.
