Dejan Kulusevski reacts to Ryan Sessegnon's message after Fulham beat Tottenham

Tottenham star Dejan Kulusevski was forced to watch from the side-line as Ryan Sessegnon scored the winner for Fulham against his former club.
Following a controversial defeat to Brighton, which looked to have knocked the wind out of Fulham’s battle for European qualification, a win over Spurs on Sunday (16 March) put them back in the mix.
The gap to Man City in fifth – which is set to be enough for Champions League qualification – is now just three points.
The Whites took the lead in the 78th minute, thanks to Rodrigo Muniz, who placed a shot past Guglielmo Vicario after a tidy touch-pass from Andreas Pereira.
Victory was secured in the 88th minute, when the former Tottenham man Sessegnon scored just a minute after being substituted.
The moment was especially poignant for Fulham fans, having seen the left-back leave for North London as a youngster, only to reject offers from Turkey in favour of a move back to Craven Cottage in the summer.
Tottenham limp to defeat without Dejan Kulusevski
Despite having a plethora of opportunities to score, Spurs failed to find the back of the net against Fulham, as pressure grows on Ange Postecoglou.
Having suffered a foot injury against Man City in February, Kulusevski watched on as his former teammate scored the winner against his side.
Match stats | Fulham | Tottenham |

The Swedish winger’s stand-in, Brennan Johnson, was substituted at half-time, thanks to an ineffective performance up against Liverpool and Man United target Antonee Robinson.
Following the win for the Cottagers, Kulusevski liked a post on Instagram made by Sessegnon after the game, captioned: “Written in the stars! +3! See you after the international break.”
Marco Silva backed for ‘big’ job as Fulham eye Europe
Football Insider Verdict
Marco Silva is now firmly in the running for the Premier League manager-of-the-year award, thanks to his side’s wonderful performances this season.
The Portuguese manager has dealt with losing Aleksandar Mitrovic, and Joao Palhinha in back-to-back transfer windows, and has arguably improved his side, in spite of either player being properly replaced.
Silva has built a reputation of taking older and unwanted players, such as Adama Traore, Raul Jimenez, or Willian, and finding uses for them in his squad, when other clubs turned their backs on them.
However, his success has not gone unnoticed, and Kris Boyd highlighted Silva as the next manager for a ‘bigger club’, should he leave Craven Cottage.
Fulham fans would be devastated to see the former Everton man leave, but the Portuguese boss seems destined for the very top, if the past three-and-a-half season’s results are anything to go by.
