Dele Alli wasn’t able to make a success of his time with Everton, and his contract with the Toffees expired at the end of June.

He’s a free agent, but there’s been reports in recent weeks that the Toffees could look to give him an opportunity if he’s able to prove his fitness and level after returning from his current injury layoff.

Now, there could the chance of a Serie A transfer instead.

Secolo XIX have reported on Genoa’s hunt for a replacement for Ruslan Malinovskyi, who suffered a serious ankle injury two weeks ago.

Antonio Candreva was a concrete target for them but doubts have emerged about the Italian and how his arrival could disrupt the balance of the club’s dressing room. Amidst those reflections, the idea of Dele Alli has gained momentum.

While there are some question marks about the Englishman, Genoa remain 'at the window' for him.

They’re Dele Alli would require some weeks to play regularly for them due to his fitness situation and lack of football at Everton, and it’s an assessment that they are currently making.
