Eddie Nketiah sends 'truth' to Arsenal ace Lewis-Skelly after England history

Crystal Palace striker Eddie Nketiah sent a message to Myles Lewis-Skelly after the Arsenal ace enjoyed a memorable England debut.
Having come through the youth ranks with the Gunners, the left-back has only broken into Mikel Arteta‘s senior side this season.
Despite that, Lewis-Skelly is already being tipped to save Arsenal plenty of money in the transfer window, by reducing the need for his side to go out and make signings.
That form from the 18-year-old has not gone unnoticed elsewhere either, and it is already paying off for him in terms of rewards.
Myles Lewis-Skelly scores on England debut
Despite his age and the fact he is still in his first season of senior football, Lewis-Skelly was named in new England manager Thomas Tuchel’s first squad for this month’s international break last week.
The Arsenal star was then immediately thrown into the starting XI for Friday night’s (21 March) World Cup qualifier against Albania and wasted no time in making an impact.
With just 20 minutes on the clock, a run in behind the opposition defence to latch on to a Jude Bellingham pass allowed Lewis-Skelly to open the scoring for England.
In doing so, the teenager became the youngest ever player to score on his senior international debut for the Three Lions.

With Nketiah having only been sold by Arsenal in the summer, the Crystal Palace star was keen to pay tribute to his former clubmate.
Taking to his Instagram story, the former Gunners man posted an image of Lewis-Skelly celebrating his first England goal, along with a caption that read: “Has been and always will be the truth”.
That was then accompanied by a salute emoji as Nketiah showed his recognition for the left-back’s efforts.
Arsenal can be excited by youth prospects
Football Insider Verdict
On what was a memorable night for Lewis-Skelly, there will no doubt by a sense of pride around his club right now.
This is yet more vindication for the arguably risky decision that Arsenal took in throwing the teenager into the deep end with the senior side this season.
Of course he is not the only one they have done that with, as Ethan Nwaneri has also emerged as a key performer immediately after stepping up to first-team level.
With both of those players already proving they can excel on the biggest stage, while still having plenty of time to improve, Arsenal will be relishing what else is to come from the duo in the years ahead.
