TBR Football can exclusively reveal that Cristiano Ronaldo looks set to leave Al-Nassr next year.

The 39-year-old’s influence on the Saudi Pro League side is evident, with Ronaldo urging Al-Nassr to sign Adrien Rabiot in September. Ronaldo was eyeing David De Gea at Al-Nassr as well before his former Manchester United teammate headed to Fiorentina.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s time in Saudi Arabia has been a fruitful one as he has lifted the Arab Club Champions Cup while finishing as the top goalscorer in the 2023/2024 season with an impressive tally of 35 goals.

Cristiano Ronaldo considering Al Hilal transfer after leaving Al-Nassr

TBR Football’s chief correspondentGraeme Bailey has been informed that Ronaldo is set to leave Al-Nassr in the summer.

Ronaldo, who Casemiro lauded as one of the greatest players in the history of the game is exploring his options, with his current contract expiring in the summer of 2025.

TBR Football understands that the veteran is considering a move to Al-Nassr’s bitter rivals, Al Hilal.

The Real Madrid legend is in no hurry to leave Saudi Arabia and a move to the country’s reigning champions would give him the chance to play in the FIFA Club World Cup later this year.

TBR Football have also been told that Ronaldo, who reacted to the 2030 World Cup as Portugal will officially co-host the tournament alongside Spain and Morocco targets participating in next year’s edition of the competition.

What has Cristiano Ronaldo said recently about Al Hilal?

Bukayo Saka named Ronaldo as his idol, as he continues to inspire billions across the world by playing at a high level despite turning 40 next month.

In a recent interview with the Saudi Pro League’s official YouTube channel, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner admitted that it is difficult for Al-Nassr to “compete” with Al Hilal, who have won four out of the last five league titles.

“Life is good, football is good in terms of individually, collectively, we’re still there, we’re still improving, it’s hard to compete with Al Hilal, [Al] Ittihad but we are there, we are still pushing, we’re fighting, football is like that, you have sometimes good moments, bad moments.”

Ronaldo went on to signal his ambitions to win more trophies with Al-Nassr this year, however.

“But for me, the most important thing is for you to be professional, pushing hard, respect the club, respect your contracts and believe that things will change. Al-Nassr, to try to win more titles, Champions League is something that I will dream to win for the club and also the league, most importantly, it’s to keep pushing and be professional.”

“But I want more. As I told you before, I will continue to push and try to help my team and Al-Nassr to win titles and let’s see, this year will be a good year for Al-Nassr.”

While Ronaldo’s ambition can never be questioned, it seems like he has deemed Al Hilal as potentially the perfect destination where he can add more medals to his enviable trophy cabinet.
