Exclusive: Huddersfield forward undergoing Ross County medical

Huddersfield Town forward Kieran Phillips is having a medical at Ross County ahead of a permanent move, sources have told Football Insider.

Phillips, 24, has agreed a move to the Scottish Premier League side on a two-and-half-year deal.

The former Everton youngster only returned to Huddersfield in November after a loan spell in America with Sacramento FC.

The young forward thrived during his loan spell by scoring 115 goals and providing three assists in 31 appearances for the club.

However, Phillips hasn't made a single appearance since returning to the John Smith's Stadium as he now looks for more game time.

Phillips has been under contract at Huddersfield since 2020 but has featured just 11 times for the club since then.

Phillips is searching for more regular playing time in a bid to progress his career after several loan moves, and a transfer to Ross County could provide that.

Dan Cowie's team currently sit ninth in the Scottish Premiership and are looking to add some fire power to improve their attacking options.

Ros County are the lowest scoring team in the Scottish top flight after scoring just 22 goals in as many games.

Phillips traditionally players as a centre forward, but does have the ability to feature out wide and as a second striker.

The youngster has scored 41 goals and provided six assists in 134 appearances throughout his career.
