Fabrizio Romano has dropped new Declan Rice fitness update as Arsenal star misses out on Inter Milan clash
Today at 11:45 AM
Arsenal are preparing to take on Inter Milan in the Champions League on Wednesday night.
The Gunners will hope to make it three wins in a row in the competition when they face the Nerazzurri at the San Siro.
However, Arsenal will do so without one of their main players, as Declan Rice will not travel for the Champions League game.
Fabrizio Romano has now dropped an update on the Gunners midfielder, explaining why club insiders have made the decision to omit him.
Arsenal do not expect Declan Rice to be injured long-term
Romano, taking to X, says Rice will not travel to Milan “just for precaution” and he is “not expected to suffer any serious/long injury”.
The transfer insider then said Arsenal insiders don’t want to take any risks with Rice, who will then be assessed ahead of the Chelsea game.
Why is Declan Rice missing out for Arsenal against Inter Milan?
As per football.london, Rice was not involved in the open training session ahead of Arsenal’s trip to Italy.
However, it is currently unclear why Rice was not able to join his teammates on the pitch, with no update given as to the injury or knock he has suffered.
Earlier today, Dharmesh Sheth said on Sky Sports about Rice’s absence from training: "We're just trying to get some information from Arsenal, but I'm told it's nothing to worry about – he might just be doing his own individual training."
