Step aside, Steve Carrell and Ricky Gervais.

The stars of Spanish side Real Betis proved they are equally adept at acting as they are at football in a hilarious video to announce Aitor Ruibal’s new contract.

Ruibal, who made his debut for Betis in 2017, penned an extension until 2028.

However, the man of the moment wasn’t exactly the star of the show in his contract announcement video.

Former Premier League stars Pablo Fornals, Adrian and Hector Bellerin made appearances as Betis announced Ruibal’s new deal in the style of beloved TV show, The Office.

Complete with the show’s iconic theme song in the background, the clip opens with various shots of Betis’ stadium.

Fornals is then shown shredding paper while Adrian works the phones.

Bellerin recreated the moment when Dwight from the American edition of the show heats up a door handle during the episode where they conduct a mock fire drill.

The former Arsenal man holds a lighter underneath a door handle, before turning to the camera with a wink and nod.

Bellerin also channels his inner ‘Prison Mike’, a persona of Michael Scott, when he pops a black bandana on.

Marc Bartra, who was previously on the books at Barcelona and Borussia Dortmund, is another who made an appearance.

Bartra recreated yet another iconic scene from the show when Dwight cuts the face off of a dummy when the team learns CPR.

Although Bellerin may have shown some proficiency as an actor, he’s got plenty of years left in the tank as a footballer.

The 29-year-old cut his teeth in the Premier League with Arsenal and went on to make over 230 appearances for the Gunners.

Bellerin won three FA Cups in his time at the Emirates before he moved to Betis, the club his grandmother supported, on loan in August 2021.

The right-back then moved to his hometown club Barcelona a year later but featured just seven times.

Bellerin joined Sporting CP on a six-month deal in January 2023 from Barcelona and would return to Betis on a five-year deal in July last year.

He helped Betis secure a seventh-place finish in LaLiga last season to qualify for the Europa Conference League play-offs.

Betis beat Ukrainian side Kryvbas Kryvyi Rih 5-0 on aggregate to progress into the new-look league phase.
