Romain Grosjean Career
Grosjean started his career as a test driver for Renault F1 in 2009. In the same season he was promoted be their F1 driver. He had a horrible first season and was left without a seat from the 2010 season onwards.
Grosjean then went back to compete In the Auto GP and sports car racing. In 2012 he was signed by Lotus as their racing driver. This marked the beginning of his second stint in Formula One. He earned his first ever podium in the same season at the Bahrain GP. 2013 was probably one of the best seasons in his career Grosjean got six podiums that year.
2014 and 2015 seasons were not very great for the former Renault man as he had several crashes and managed to score barely any points.
In 2016 Grosjean stepped away from Lotus and joined Haas who were making their debut in Formula One. His personal high in the Driver's Championship rankings came in 2017 when he finished 13th. Next year Grosjean finished the season 14th with scoring 37 points. 2019 proved to be his worst ever season in Formula One in terms of rankings when he finished at 18th place.
Grosjean suffered a disastrous accident at the 2020 Bahrain GP. The accident was so devastating that it split the car in two and a fire broke out. Thankfully he survived the accident and came out with minor burns and injuries to his hands and ankles. This was his last Formula One Race.
After moving out of F1, he started driving for Juncos Hollinger Racing in the NTT IndyCar Series. In 2024, he drives for Iron Lynx in the IMSA SportsCar Championship – GTD Pro. He ventured into esports and founded the r8g esports team. Grosjean and his wife also published a cookbook.

Grosjean was born on 17th April 1986 to a Swiss father and a French mother. He was always supported by his family to follow his passion of racing. Grosjean married a sports journalist Marion Jolles in 2012.
The couple welcomed their first child Sacha on July 29th 2013 and their second son Simon on 16th May 2015. The couple was later blessed with their third child a daughter Camille on 30th December 2017. Not many know Grosjean is the associate founder of the Excell’Jets.
