Gabriel Jesus sends message to Arsenal teammates after 'devastating setback'

Arsenal forward Gabriel Jesus has taken to social media to thank his teammates for their support after his devastating injury setback.
The 27-year-old has been ruled out for the rest of the season after tearing his ACL in Arsenal’s FA Cup defeat to Man United on Sunday (January 15).
His teammates wore commemorative shirts ahead of their 2-1 Premier League win over North London rivals Tottenham on Wednesday (January 15), wishing the striker well in his recovery.
Spurs captain Heung-Min Son opened the scoring in the 25th minute before Gabriel Magalhaes’ header bounced off Dominic Solanke and into the back of the net for a controversial equaliser.
The ball had seemingly come off Leandro Trossard and then gone out, but a corner was given for Arsenal rather than a goal kick for Tottenham.
Trossard then went on to score the winner just four minutes later, closing the gap on league leaders Liverpool to just four points.

Jesus was finally starting to find some form before the injury, starting 13 of his 27 games across all competitions, scoring seven goals, and providing two assists in his 1204 minutes of action.
Six of those goals came in his last seven games, with the Brazilian scoring a hattrick and then a brace in two consecutive games against Crystal Palace.
The striker took to Instagram after the North London derby win over Tottenham to share an image of his teammates wearing their supportive kits.
Arsenal's win helps close the gap on league leaders Liverpool following their 1-1 draw with Nottingham Forest, although Arne Slot's side have a game in hand.
Arteta's side face former manager Unai Emery as Aston Villa travel to the Emirates for their Premier League game on Saturday (January 18).
