'Get a grip': Ahmed Elmohamady fuming over what Jamie Carragher has now said about Mohamed Salah

Liverpool are currently flying high in both the Premier League and the Champions League.
However, three of the Reds’ most iconic players in recent years continue to face uncertain futures at Anfield.
Liverpool trio Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold are out of contract next summer as things stand.
On Sunday, Salah told reporters after the win at Southampton that he is “probably more out than in” and has yet to be offered fresh terms.
Some pundits, such as Jamie Carragher, have criticised the Liverpool forward for being so up front about his contract situation.
However, Carragher’s criticism of Salah hasn’t gone down well amongst some fans, along with footballing figures like Ahmed Elmohamady.

Carragher took to X a day after calling Salah “selfish” on Sky Sports News by slating his fans for saying the forward was only answering a question.
Elmohamady, who played alongside Salah in the Egypt national side, replied by telling Carragher to “leave Salah alone and get a grip”.
The 37-year-old, who captained Aston Villa during his playing career, went on to tell Carragher that “Jose Mourinho was right about what he said about you.”
TBR Football understands that one of the main issues over a new Liverpool deal for Salah would be the length of contract on offer.
However, there are other issues too and, as it stands, a new deal is not close to being agreed.
What Mourinho previously said about Carragher
Elmohamady could be alluding to the time when Mourinho criticised Callagher for talking “too much” when he hasn’t walked the walk.
“Jamie Carragher talks too much for someone who isn’t even among the top 1,000 defenders in football history,” the Daily Mail quotes Mourinho as saying in 2015.
“How can someone who never won the Premier [League] talk about what it takes to win the Premier [League]?”
