Liverpool have one of the best squads in world football, and that means that they sometimes have to sell some very good players.

Indeed, there isn't room for everyone at Anfield, and that means that departures are sometimes necessary.

Caoimhin Kelleher is a player who could soon be looking to leave Anfield.

Kelleher has been very open about the fact he wants first-team football, and he could be on his way out next summer.

Speaking on the LFC Transfer Room Podcast, John Achterberg has been discussing Kelleher's situation, and he believes that the Irishman is good enough to play at the top level, touting him for a move to Bayern Munich.

Caoimhin Kelleher is good enough for Bayern Munich

Achterberg spoke about the Liverpool goalkepeer.

"I don't know how many conversations the club has had with him, maybe you can send him on loan, Caoimhin is more than ready and if Bayern Munich want to take him I think that would be a good choice, but I think he could play at the top level, he never let us down at Liverpool," Achterberg said.

Bayern Munich may need a new goalkeeper

A move to Bayern Munich wouldn't be a bad idea at all for Kelleher.

The German giants are one of Europe's biggest clubs, and they may soon be in the market for a new goalkeeper.

Manuel Neuer is now 38 years old, and at that age, any player has to think about winding down.

Replacing Neuer won't be an easy task, but Kelleher could well be up for the task.

Vincent Kompany, of course, knows the Premier League like the back of his hand, and he may well have half an eye on Kelleher already.

With Giorgi Mamardashvili arriving, Kelleher may need a move next summer, and a move to Bayern Munich would be an excellent opportunity for the £30m-rated goalkeeper.
