Mikey Moore gave Tottenham Hotspur fans another glorious glimpse of his potential as he featured in the 1-0 UEFA Europa League win against AZ Alkmaar.

Richarlison scored the solitary goal of the game from the penalty spot, but it was the 17-year-old who took centre stage as he found himself in the thick of the action.

James Maddison likened Moore to Neymar after the game, describing the youngster as a ‘fearless’ talent.

And now, Postecoglou has delivered his verdict on his performance, admitting that he actually played him out of position against Alkmaar.

Starting on the right flank, Moore was joined by Richarlison and Timo Werner in attack.

Although he missed a glorious opportunity to score in the first half, the 17-year-old didn’t put his head down and sulk as he ran the Alkmaar defenders ragged.

"He has to work on his heading – he had a couple of those opportunities. He is not the complete product,” said Postecoglou at a press conference.

“He has got a really mature outlook. He doesn't let those things faze him. If he tries to take a player on and it doesn't work he won't shy away from it the next time.”

Postecoglou feels Moore is more suited to playing on the left flank, admitting that he played him on the opposite side as that’s what Tottenham needed on the night.

He added: "I played him out on the right but he definitely looks more comfortable on the left. But in the context, he still contributes when he is on the right.

“It's not like he's totally lost out there. He has got a great mature outlook on football."

What has been said about Moore’s performance vs Alkmaar?

The young Englishman, making his sixth appearance in all competitions for Tottenham this season, looked at home playing European football and earned rave reviews for his performance.

Glenn Hoddle said Tottenham’s win against Alkmaar was all about Moore, adding that the youngster will be the talk of the town after his dazzling display.

Football London rated Moore eight out of ten, highlighting his performance in the second half as a major positive.

Time will tell just how good the youngster can become, but he has all the makings of a bonafide superstar, judging by his recent displays at least.
