Although he's only three games into his Tottenham Hotspur career, there's already a lot of attention on Dominic Solanke's failure to hit the back of the net.

Solanke became the club record signing at Tottenham this summer, the former Bournemouth striker was seemingly preferred to Ivan Toney who ended up in Saudi Arabia instead.

Since arriving in N17, Solanke did suffer a minor ankle issue but returned against Arsenal in the North London derby.

And after failing to get off the mark in that game, Ange Postecoglou gave the Englishman the chance to stop the talk against Coventry City in the EFL Cup.

Jamie Redknapp thought Solanke was getting no help, and the striker was replaced just after the hour mark, still chasing his first goal for the club.

Dominic Solanke told that the Tottenham shirt looks too big for him

That being said, when speaking on talkSPORT, Gabriel Agbonlahor has now offered some advice to Solanke, saying he needs to have a chat with Postecoglou.

The pundit wanted the striker to remember all of the good things he did to score 19 Premier League goals last term, a record he'll want to eventually beat at Spurs.

Agbonlahor said: "You know with Solanke, he's got to have a chat with the manager and just calm down, he looks like the shirt is too big for him at the moment.

Alan Brazil then interrupted: "Trying to hard?"

Agbonlahor: "Yeah and just remember what you've done last season for Bournemouth, you were outstanding.

"Think about the things you were doing last season – holding the ball up, making runs, being strong, being aggressive, getting in the box.

"Because he doesn't want to be that player where you go two or three games without scoring when you're at a new club and the pressure comes on – he got brought off last night.

"Perfect game for him against Brentford on the weekend at home, so hopefully he'll get off the mark."

Dejan Kulusevski could be the key to solving Spurs’ issues

Amid all the disappointing performances at Tottenham right now, Dejan Kulusevski is still having an excellent season thus far.

Jamie Rednapp was disappointed with two Tottenham players when speaking after the Coventry win on Wednesday evening.

But there's no doubt that Kulusevski changed the game, a player who is now taking a lot more responsibility in his performances.

Djed Spence also excelled off the bench, playing an inverted role at left-back, another string to his bow.

And after that performance, it now seems as if Tottenham made a big mistake this summer.
