Arsenal cruised to a 2-0 win in the UEFA Champions League against PSG as they recorded their first win in Europe this season.

The Gunners were held to a 0-0 draw against Atalanta in their previous game but there was no danger of them dropping points at home as they dominated proceedings right from the get-go.

Kai Havertz and Bukayo Saka notched up first-half goals to give Arsenal a comfortable lead heading into the interval.

They pressed further in the second half but were unable to add to the scoreline, but the fact of the matter is that they were easily the better team on the night.

Speaking after the game, Darren Bent shared what he really felt about Saka and Leandro Trossard’s performances as the pair started in attack for Mikel Arteta.

Trossard provided a brilliant assist for Havertz as his lofted pass was brilliantly headed into the net by the German.

Saka, on the other hand, also got his name on the scoresheet but Gianluigi Donnarumma should have done better as the Englishman’s tame free-kick found its way into the back of the net.

Bent praised Trossard for his display but felt Saka could have done a lot better for Arsenal against the French champions.

"I thought he [Trossard] played really well today,” said Bent on talkSPORT.

"Saka got the assist in the first half. I thought he was kind of on the fringes, I have seen him play better."

Saka and Trossard’s stats against PSG

While Bent opined that Saka wasn’t anywhere close to his best, the stats from the game paint a different picture.

The Englishman made one key pass and had 58 touches of the ball as he finished the game with a goal and a Sofascore rating of 7.7.

Trossard, meanwhile, got himself a rating of 7.3 despite recording a brilliant assist, making one key pass and completing two dribbles.

Nevertheless, both players had defining contributions in what turned out to be a routine win and will look to carry on their rich vein of form at the start of the season.
