Arsenal's start to this season couldn't have gone much better.

The Gunners are very much in the title race at the moment, and they're yet to lose a single game in all competitions.

The north London club's key players are all in red hot form, and some players look much-improved on last term.

Indeed, speaking on the Wrighty's House Podcast, Ian Wright has been discussing Gabriel Martinelli's performances this season, claiming that he looks like a completely different player after Riccardo Calafiori came into the side.

Ian Wright impressed by Gabriel Martinelli

The pundit spoke highly of the £6m man, claiming that Calafiori has unlocked the Brazilian.

"Our left side, I always thought it wasn't activated, it hasn't worked. We tried with Zinchenko, we tried with Kiwior, even Timber on that side, it doesn't work," Wright said.

"With Calafiori, he does really activate Martinelli, he's a whole different kettle of fish now, he knows he can go, and it's the same with Saka and Timber."

Gabriel Martinelli has transformed

It's funny how one or two games can change the outlook on a player.

Indeed, Wright was full of praise for Martinelli, but it wasn't long ago that Tim Sherwood was describing the Brazilian as poor.

"Martinelli has been poor. I think Kai Havertz lives off Odegaard's service as well. He's going to be a huge miss, so you wouldn't blame Arsenal going there looking for just a point because some of their most creative players, certainly with Odegaard, is going to be missing," Sherwood said.

Since then, the Brazilian has put in a brilliant showing against Leicester, while he caused problems against PSG in the Champions League too.

It doesn't take long for a footballer's form to turn around, and, luckily for Arsenal, it looks as though Martinelli has rediscovered his top ability.

Martinelli is a top player who could have a big part to play in Arsenal's title tilt this season.
