If Celtic want Lennon Miller, they will get Lennon Miller, regardless of what Barry Ferguson, or anyone else of an Ibrox persuasion says

Lennon Miller….
This subject shouldn’t even be up for debate and Barry Ferguson shouldn’t be wasting column space writing about it either.
I think it’s clear at this point in time that Lennon Miller is the most talked about talent in the Scottish game at the moment.
There is no doubting the fact that Celtic are looking at him.
We’d be foolish not to.
But there’s one huge difference in the window shopping that we’re doing in comparison to the Ibrox side.
If we decide we want to buy what we’re looking at, we can comfortably afford to do so.
The same cannot be said for the Ibrox side.
Barry Ferguson can be as displeased as he likes about that, unfortunately for him, that’s reality.
At this moment in time, £4 million is pocket change to us.
That’s not to say our board won’t baulk at Motherwell’s asking price.
If we’re going to declare our interest in Miller, there’s no doubt we’ll come in with a lowball offer to get the ball rolling.
I guess we’ll just see where it goes after that.
Who knows, after splashing the cash late in the last window, the board might shock us and pay Motherwell what they’re asking.
The bottom line is we can afford to buy Miller if we really want to.
And as I said earlier, we’d be foolish not to consider it.
No doubt Barry Ferguson would love to see him at Ibrox.
But that’s like dreaming about the days when his old club were forking out millions of other people’s money to buy players they couldn’t afford.
As well as the fact they couldn’t afford to pay them either.
Unfortunately for Barry Ferguson, living in the past is his default position these days.
It doesn’t really do him any good, does it?
Yet the Record still gives him airtime to wax lyrical about who the Ibrox should be buying:
The valuation of £4million is fair on Lennon Miller. I think he will get sold in January, but allowed to play with Motherwell until the end of the season. Who's that to? I am going to hazard a guess that there will be a hell of a lot clubs in for him at that price. I think he has the potential to play at the highest level.
He has been a standout, let's be honest. He has gained so much experience in the short period of time in his professional career. It's going to be a big decision. What I know is that he is a level-headed guy and he has a family behind him. They will make the right decision for him. Would I love to see him at R*****s? 100 per cent I would. Can R*****s afford him? I don't know.
I’ll answer that one for you Barry.
Nope, the Ibrox side can’t afford him.
But Celtic can, and that’s really what bothers Barry Ferguson more than anything else.
It kills him that Celtic wouldn’t even have to break a sweat to land Lennon Miller.
It kills him to know that Celtic can offer him the chance to win trophies, and to play in the Champions League.
He knows it’s unlikely with the way things are going that his side will be able to offer anything like that.
But he definitely does not want Lennon Miller go to Celtic:
I wouldn't be too happy, of course. You want to see good young players go to your team – I would be absolutely shocked if both Celtic and R*****s aren't interested. There will be teams down south. Teams in Italy – he could easily play for Celtic or R*****s.
There is no doubt that Lennon Miller is watching how Celtic are performing at the moment.
I’m sure he’s saying to himself, “I’d love to be a part of something like that.”
Then he’s looking at Ibrox.
He sees a club with no board.
A manager the fans can’t stand and want gone.
And a fanbase who will never take to him because of this:
Which pretty much makes it obvious where his allegiances lie.
Right now, the world is Lennon Miller’s oyster.
There’s no doubting there will be clubs outside of Scotland interested in him too.
But you can rest assured that if he’s given the choice between signing for us or the Ibrox side, Barry Ferguson is going to be very disappointed with his choice.
That’s just the way it is.
There is no contest here.
