Jack Butland shares training ground update after Rangers setback

Rangers goalkeeper Jack Butland has taken to social media to share a fitness update after his most recent injury setback.
According to Rangers Review, the Butland received medical attention earlier in January following concerns over a "significant" internal bleed.
Butland has since missed Rangers’ last five games across all competitions, including Sunday’s (January 19) 5-0 Scottish Cup win over Fraserburgh.
Cyriel Dessers bagged a hattrick, while Clinton Nsiala, and Ross McCausland scored the other two goals, sending Philippe Clement’s side into the next round.
Jack Butland working on return as Rangers travel south of the border for Man United game
Butland has been key for the Glasgow club so far this season, starting all 29 of his games across all competitions, conceding 27 goals, and keeping 13 clean sheets in his 2640 minutes of action.
While it remains uncertain exactly when Butland will make his return, he will doubtless be hope to feature against his former club, Man United, for their Europa League clash on Thursday (January 23).
The shot-stopper took to Instagram to share an image of himself training ahead of the game against the Premier League giants.
Rangers remain well behind arch-rivals Celtic despite their Old Firm win earlier in the month, sitting in second, 13 points behind them on 47.
Clement’s attention will return to domestic affairs after the game with Man United, as they travel to Dundee United on Sunday (January 26).
