Liverpool have come out of nowhere this evening to be linked with a late move for Italian winger, Federico Chiesa.

Reports tonight have claimed Chiesa is being looked at by Liverpool as the Reds prepare for a busy final week in the window.

Adding more intrigue to the situation, Chiesa has also been left out by Juventus tonight as they take on Verona in Serie A.

Chiesa has been followed by English clubs all summer and both Tottenham and Arsenal have been credited with interest in the Italian.

However, it looks like Liverpool are the English club taking things most seriously and now, the asking price from Juventus has been revealed.

Juventus want less than £15m to sell Federico Chiesa to Liverpool

According to The Athletic’s Liverpool journalist James Pearce, Juventus will sell Chiesa for less than £15m.

At around 15m Euros, it comes in around the £12.5m mark, meaning Liverpool could well be getting themselves a bargain deal.

Taking to X to share the information, Pearce has said that the interest remains exploratory for now, with nothing advanced just yet.

Chiesa the bargain of the summer?

If Liverpool do pull this off and land Chiesa for less than £15m, then it’s quite the purchase.

This is a player who has starred for Italy for a number of years now, and won a Euro’s winners medal at Euro 2020.

Chiesa would give Liverpool an added option in attack that would make them the envy of many a Premier League club.

Chiesa’s pace and eye for goal make him ideal and even if Mo Salah does up and leave next year, then Liverpool will have got someone in who at least can try and replace him.

Chiesa, then, could wind up being a remarkable bargain buy.
