James Tavernier has taken to social media to celebrate “our home” at Rangers after their 1-0 Scottish Premier League win over Dundee FC on Saturday (December 21).
The 33-year-old played the full 90 minutes in the Light Blues’ last home game of their 125th year at Ibrox, helping them leapfrog Aberdeen into second.
Vaclav Cerny scored the only goal of the game just after half-time, going around Trevor Carson in the Dundee goal before slotting into an open goal.
Philippe Clement’s side appears to have turned their season around after a poor start, winning four of their last five league matches.
Their only loss in the last 12 games across all competitions was a narrow defeat on penalties to arch-rivals Celtic in the League Cup final.

The right-back has continued to be central for Rangers this season, starting 24 of his 27 appearances across all competitions, scoring three goals, and providing six assists in his 2170 minutes of action.
Tavernier took to Instagram after their win over Dundee FC to send a message to fans and recognise Rangers’ 125 years at Ibrox, saying: “125 years of our home. +3. Hope everyone has a Merry Christmas.”
Ibrox underwent some major renovations at the start of the season, increasing the historic ground’s capacity by a further 600.
Rangers travel to sixth place St. Mirren on boxing day (December 26) as they aim to close the gap on arch-rivals Celtic at the top of the table.
Tavernier’s future has been in major doubt for the majority of the season following a summer of expectation that he would depart, but his form has rebounded recently to coincide with a revival under Clement.
In other news, Rangers could re-sign 23-yr-old in January: PL club 'to pay majority of wages'.
