West Ham captain Jarrod Bowen took to social media to share a major update regarding his recovery from his most recent injury setback.

The 28-year-old fractured his foot in West Ham’s 5-0 Premier League defeat to league leaders Liverpool in their last game of 2024.

Bowen has missed their last four games, a run of three defeats and one win across all competitions that saw Julen Lopetegui eventually sacked and replaced by Graham Potter.

West Ham’s 2-0 Premier League defeat to London rivals Crystal Palace on Saturday (January 18) saw them fall into 14th, with 26 points from their 22 games.

The England international isn’t expected to make his return until early March, but the East London club have since confirmed he is back training on grass.

The forward had been key for the club before his injury, starting all 21 of his games across all competitions, scoring six goals, and providing four assists in his 1827 minutes of play.

Bowen took to Instagram to share a series of images originally posted by his club of himself training on grass for the first time in weeks.

Potter’s side will take on Aston Villa, the side who beat him 2-1 in his first game at the helm earlier in the month, on Sunday (January 26).

They will then travel across London to face Potter’s former club Chelsea eight days later, knowing a defeat would seriously dent any hopes of a top-half finish.
