Journalist shares what he heard 'most' of Emirates crowd chant at Aaron Ramsdale in Arsenal win over Southampton

On Saturday, Arsenal welcomed Aaron Ramsdale back to the Emirates Stadium for the first time since the goalkeeper’s move to Southampton this summer.
The England international was the Gunners’ number one for two years, making 89 appearances in all competitions for Mikel Arteta’s side.
However, Ramsdale lost his first-team place to David Raya last season, and he duly completed a move from Arsenal to the Saints over the summer.
The 26-year-old became Southampton’s first-choice keeper from the off, having made five Premier League appearances for the newly-promoted side.
Ramsdale didn’t have to wait long to renew acquaintances with his former teammates at the Emirates Stadium, as Southampton headed to N5 for Saturday’s 3pm kick-off.
The Three Lions ace gave a good account of himself and couldn’t do much about the goals Arsenal scored against him.
Sky Sports journalist Ron Walker has shared what he heard sung about Ramsdale from the away end which then spread across the Emirates Stadium.

Walker said on Sky Sports: “A nice moment as the away end chorus of ‘England’s number one’ towards Aaron Ramsdale extends around most of the ground.
“An unhappy return for the goalkeeper, but not for anything on his behalf.”
At the end of the game, Ramsdale embraced former colleagues David Raya and Mikel Arteta before getting a standing ovation from the Clock End for giving his shirt to a young Southampton fan.
How Arsenal fared in their 3-1 win over Southampton
Arsenal fell behind to Cameron Archer’s 55th-minute goal, but they equalised just three minutes later through the in-form Kai Havertz.
Gabriel Martinelli then came off the bench to put Arsenal ahead in the 68th minute before Bukayo Saka made sure of all three points in the 88th minute of the match.

What next for Arsenal and Southampton?
The international break sees domestic football grind to a halt, after which Arsenal take on another south coast side in Bournemouth.
The Gunners face the Cherries away in a Premier League game scheduled to kick off at 5:30pm on Saturday 19 October.
Meanwhile, Southampton host Leicester City in the league on the same day in a 3pm kick-off.
