Bournemouth ace Justin Kluivert has taken to social media to show off his Player of the Match award and hat-trick ball after their 4-1 win over Newcastle on Saturday.

The 25-year-old opened the scoring for the visitors after just six minutes on 18 January, after Antoine Semenyo cut the ball back, allowing the Dutchman to cooly slot past Martin Dubravka in the Newcastle goal.

Bruno Guimaraes made it 1-1 with Newcastle’s first attempt on goal in the 25th minute, rising above the Bournemouth defenders to head home from a corner.

Kluivert bagged his second just before the break after Ryan Christie robbed Guimaraes in the centre of the park, feeding Dango Ouattara who then supplied Kluivert with the chance to make it 2-1.

The Dutchman rounded off his hat-trick in style, leaving Dubravka with no chance from long-range before Milos Kerkez made it 4-1 and secured an impressive win for Andoni Iraola’s side.

Kluivert has established himself as a key player for Bournemouth this season, starting 17 of his 22 games across all competitions, scoring eight goals, and providing three assists in his 1361 minutes of action.

The winger took to Instagram after the impressive win over fellow top-four hopefuls Newcastle, simply sharing an image of his award and match ball.

The win over Newcastle takes Bournemouth within just one point of Eddie Howe’s side in fourth and level with Chelsea in fifth with 37.

Iraola’s side will host fellow over-achievers Nottingham Forest in their next Premier League game on Saturday (January 25).
