Andy Robertson’s Liverpool future is “up in the air” after a series of sub-par performances in the 2024-25 campaign, sources have told Football Insider.

The Reds star, 31, has been at Anfield since 2017 but will have just 12 months remaining on his contract in June.

Liverpool are putting plans in place for the upcoming summer transfer window and are ready to move for a new left-back, throwing doubt over the futures of Robertson and his deputy Kostas Tsimikas.

Bournemouth star Milos Kerkez, 21, is a concrete target for Liverpool as they plot their summer transfer business.

Meanwhile, Fulham captain Antonee Robinson is on the list but Liverpool chiefs have question marks over his age – with the United States international turning 28 before the 2025-26 campaign gets underway.

Robertson has been on the books at Anfield since joining from Hull City in July 2017 for a fee of around £10million.

He has made 39 appearances across all competitions this term but has been regularly dropped from the side for backup left-back Kostas Tsimikas.

The Scotland international has recorded just one assist in those outings despite Liverpool’s success this season.

Robertson, who has already lifted the Premier League and Champions League with the Reds, has turned out 336 times for Liverpool in total.

Tsimikas has been rotated with Robertson at Liverpool this season.

Nunez expected to leave Liverpool this summer

Meanwhile, Football Insider revealed on Saturday (15 March) Darwin Nunez is expected to leave Liverpool this summer after missing out on a January exit.

Nunez was left unhappy after Liverpool turned down an offer from Al-Hilal during the January window.

The Reds are expected to be open to offers for the forward come the end of the season as he no longer features as a major part of the manager's plans.
