Yamal enjoyed another stunning afternoon in the derby clash with Girona as he scored two goals to help Barca to a 4-1 win.

The teenager’s first came after he picked the pocket of the Girona defender before placing the ball into the top corner of the net.

His second came with a wonderful left-footed effort from the edge of the area that wrong-footed the goalkeeper, putting Barca 2-0 up before the break.

With more goals after the break, the 4-1 win puts Barcelona back on top of the table with five wins from five games.

Yamal’s brace means he has now scored three goals in LaLiga this term.

He’s also provided four assists, giving him an impressive seven goal involvements in just five LaLiga matches so far.

While impressive in its own right, it also means that Yamal now has the second-highest goal involvements in Europe’s top five leagues.

His tally of seven goals and assists puts him ahead of Harry Kane, Robert Lewandowski and Mohamed Salah.

The only player who is bettering his record so far is Erling Haaland.

The Manchester City striker has scored nine goals in four Premier League games, putting him comfortably at the top of the list.
