With ten points from five games, Chelsea are fifth in the Premier League standings and have largely looked impressive under new boss Enzo Maresca.

The Blues finished sixth under Mauricio Pochettino last season and will look to fare a lot better this time around as the Italian boss looks to imprint his philosophy at the club.

It’s hard to say just how well Chelsea could do this season as they’ve only played five Premier League games, but there have been shots from fans and pundits that they could secure a top-four finish.

Former Chelsea defender Nigel Reo-Coker, however, feels the Blues still aren’t good enough for a spot in the UEFA Champions League next season.

While Reo-Coker feels Chelsea have been good so far, he expects them to face tougher tests in the coming weeks.

"I still don't see them finish in the top four. I still don't see them finishing in the top four,” said Reo-Coker on BBC 5 Live Sport.

“I really don't. Obviously, like I said, it's looking good right now and everything seems to slowly come together.

“There seems to be a gel and everything like that, but I think they are still going to have a lot more tougher tests this season."

Chelsea face lots of competition for top-four finish

Manchester City and Arsenal are expected to compete for the Premier League title and Liverpool could be up there as well.

Additionally, the likes of Aston Villa, Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United are also vying for a top-four spot, while Brighton & Hove Albion are looking to put themselves up there after an eye-catching start to Fabian Hurzeler’s tenure.

Chelsea have a strong squad and have gotten a bit of a head start owing to their strong start to their season, but it remains to be seen if they are consistent enough to secure a top-four finish.
