Darwin Nunez is expected to leave Liverpool this summer after missing out on a January exit, sources have told Football Insider.
Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, senior correspondent Pete O’Rourke revealed that they have already begun assessing the transfer market to find a potential replacement for the 25-year-old.
Arne Slot blocked a potential move to the Saudi Pro League in the mid-season window as he wanted to keep his squad together to challenge in all four competitions.
This comes after Football Insider revealed Nunez was left unhappy after Liverpool turned down an offer from Al-Hilal during the January transfer window.
Now, the Reds are expected to be open to offers for the forward come the end of the season as he no longer features as a major part of the manager’s plans.
Instead, they will search for his replacement in the transfer market to bring in a more clinical forward as Football Insider revealed Liverpool want to sign Alexander Isak.

Liverpool open to Darwin Nunez exit as Arne Slot is not happy
Former Man United chief scout Mick Brown told Football Insider on 8 March that Liverpool will accept offers for Nunez as he has failed to impress Slot and his staff.
The manager publicly criticised the forward’s performances following his performances against Aston Villa and Wolves as he revealed he is unhappy with the way he has played.
Now, Nunez is expected to be moved on in the summer to facilitate a move for a new forward as they seek to improve their attacking options.

Update on Ibrahima Konate contract as Arne Slot to make big decisions
Liverpool and Slot have decisions to make about a number of key players ahead of the summer transfer window following their plans to cash in on Nunez.
