Manchester United have put Christian Eriksen and Victor Lindelof up for sale ahead of the January transfer window, according to reports.
Both players have been deemed surplus to requirements, football transfers expert Fabrizio Romano has told GiveMeSport.
The duo, who are both out of contract at the end of the season, have struggled for regular minutes under new head coach Ruben Amorim.
The January window is United’s last chance to sell Eriksen and Lindelof before they are able to depart Old Trafford on free transfers in the summer.
‘Eriksen and Lindelof are available for [the] January market, but at the moment there’s still nothing concrete,’ Romano said. ‘For sure both are players who could be available in January.’
Eriksen, 32, has been a United player since 2022 and has played 87 games for the club to date, producing seven goals and 16 assists.
United didn’t pay a fee to sign the Denmark international midfielder, having snapped him up on a free transfer after he left Brentford.
Lindelof has played 268 matches for United since he joined the Red Devils from Benfica in 2017.
United paid around £30.7m to sign the Sweden international centre-back, who turns 31 this summer.
Meanwhile, Amorim's first signing as United head coach is done after the club reportedly secured a deal for Paraguayan left-back Diego Leon.
The 17-year-old Cerro Porteno wonderkid has signed all documents to join United in July 2025.
Leon is set to join United for an initial $4 million (£3m), plus another possible $4m (£3m) in add-ons.
Similar to the deal Chelsea secured for Estevao Willian, United cannot officially bring Leon to Old Trafford until his 18th birthday has passed.
