Manchester City are back in pre-season action on Saturday night for their second of four friendlies ahead of the new season, all of which are taking place in the United States.

The tour didn’t get off to the best of starts for Pep Guardiola’s side, who lost their opening friendly in North Carolina to Scottish champions Celtic, falling 4-3 after coming from behind twice to draw the game level.

Oscar Bobb, Maximo Perrone and Erling Haaland found the back of the net for the Citizens against Celtic.

A lot of the four-time defending Premier League champions’ squad are yet to return from their summer break following the Euros and Copa America, leaving the opportunity for lots of minutes for some the academy players against top class opposition.

Saturday night’s match will also be AC Milan’s second pre-season friendly of the campaign having played out a 1-1 draw away against Rapid Vienna, last weekend, in new manager Paulo Fonseca’s first game in charge of the club.

Last season’s Serie A runners up have since crossed the Atlantic Ocean for the first of three friendlies in the States, with the club also taking on Spanish giants Real Madrid and Barcelona before they head back to Italy.
