Both Manchester United and Chelsea could be looking to bring in new forwards during the January transfer window.
Manchester United, who have struggled in front of goal this term, could be set to move a number of attacking players on this month.
For instance, Marcus Rashford is ready to leave Man United, while Alejandro Garnacho is frustrated with his lack of game time at Old Trafford.
Meanwhile, Chelsea are ready to allow Christopher Nkunku to leave, while Jadon Sancho, Noni Madueke, Joao Felix and Mykhaylo Mudryk aren’t guaranteed to stay either.
Sky Sport Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg has now claimed that Man United have set their sights on an attacking talent who is also wanted by Chelsea.

Manchester United eyeing Chelsea target Jamie Gittens
The player in question is Jamie Gittens, who has been going from strength to strength at Borussia Dortmund.
TBR Football chief correspondent Graeme Bailey recently confirmed that Chelsea have made it clear to Dortmund that they like Gittens.
Meanwhile, Plettenberg has reported that Man United are “seriously interested” in the 20-year-old along with Bayern Munich.
Indeed, Bayern have already held talks with the player’s management, according to Plettenberg.
The journalist feels Gittens is “very likely” to leave Dortmund in the summer if they fail to qualify for the Champions League.
What Gittens could bring to Manchester United and Chelsea
Jamie Gittens is a is a right-footed winger who can feature on both flanks and has been plying his trade mostly on the left of late.
He is a strong dribbler who isn’t afraid to bear down on opponents with his aggressive ball-carrying and likes to cut inside on his stronger right foot.
Gittens' style of play has been compared to that of Nico Williams, one of the most exciting forwards in world football.
Gittens, who is said to have an £84million price tag, has also been compared to Jack Grealish and Mohamed Salah by Football Talent Scout.
They also said Gittens ‘likes to use quick feet, small touches and bags of trickery to beat his man before finding the line-breaking pass rather than using sheer pace to race away from the defender.’
