Marc Cucurella sends message to Chelsea fans after confirmed news

Chelsea defender Marc Cucurella celebrated their 5-1 win over Shamrock Rovers on Thursday (December 19) and subsequent progression to the next round of the Europa Conference League.
The 26-year-old continued his impressive form, scoring his second goal in as many games as Chelsea maintained their perfect record in the competition with six wins from six matches.
Striker Marc Guiu opened the scoring for the home side after 23 minutes before Shamrock Rovers scored a surprise equaliser just three minutes later.
Guiu then restored Chelsea’s lead just after the half-hour mark, capitalising on a defensive mishap, before Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall made it 3-1.
The youngster then bagged his first senior hattrick with a lovely header from Noni Madueke’s pin-point cross just before half-time.
Cucurella rounded off the scoring to make it 5-1 and send Chelsea through to the knockout rounds as they aim to become the first team in history to win every major European trophy.

The Spaniard is Enzo Maresca’s undisputed first choice at left-back, starting 16 of his 18 games across all competitions, scoring two goals, and providing two assists in 1449 minutes of action.
Cucurella was remarkably sent off after the final whistle in Chelsea’s 2-1 win over Brentford in the previous round of fixtures, meaning he’s suspended for their game against Everton on Sunday (December 22).
Delighted with his goal and Chelsea’s progression to the next round, Cucurella took to Instagram to celebrate, saying: “Penguin Style. Another great win by the team.”
Chelsea have now won their last eight games across all competitions and will go into their game against Sean Dyche’s side knowing a win would see them leapfrog Liverpool at the top of the Premier League table, temporarily at least.
Maresca’s side have three games remaining in December alone, including a local derby against Marco Silva’s impressive Fulham.
