Fulham manager Marco Silva has insisted that interest from Tottenham Hotspur is absolutely normal because of their good results this season.

Correio da Manhã cover comments from the Fulham boss today after he was pounced on at an event and asked about the growing interest.

Several reports in England have put Silva on a two-man shortlist for the Tottenham job this summer alongside Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola.

Pressure is increasing on current Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou after a miserable season that currently has them sitting 14th in the table after a 2-0 defeat to Silva's Fulham last weekend.

Fulham, in contrast, currently sit 8th in the table having gone from strength to strength under Silva since he got them back to the Premier League in 2022.

Since then, they have finished 10th and 13th and currently find themselves just two points outside the top six and four behind fourth-placed Chelsea.

That has seen Silva credited far and wide as one of the rising managers in English football and seemingly got him on Tottenham's list of options alongside Iraola should they decide to part ways with Postecoglou.

The Fulham manager, though, isn't adding to the speculation and instead thinks it's a natural outcome of their good season.

"It is a natural situation when the objectives are achieved with good results. When the team plays in a way that recognises quality and that has clearly evolved for players, for the club itself," he said when asked about the interest at the forum of the National Association of Trainers in Matosinhos.
