Marcus Rashford labelled a bad example at Manchester United by former Premier League star

Marcus Rashford has been setting a bad example for younger players at Manchester United, believes former Premier League striker Troy Deeney.
The England international has been struggling to find his best form for many months now in a United shirt, while he has been dropped entirely from England squads.
The 27-year-old enjoyed a brilliant 2022/23 season, but since the start of the last campaign has not been firing at all and has looked disgruntled and at times disinterested.
Deeney feels this is a problem and has been shown in the actions of other, younger players in the United side.
The 20-year-old winger chose not to celebrate when he scored against Leicester City last weekend, with captain Bruno Fernandes revealing it was ‘because he thinks he has lost faith from some fans.’
The former Watford striker reckons this is Rashford’s fault and Garnacho has picked up a poor attitude from him.
‘For a little while now let’s be honest he hasn’t delivered to the standard that we know he can,’ Deeney said on talkSPORT.
‘When I see what happened with Garnacho at the weekend, he scores and he’s a bit sulky because a few fans have decided to get on his case or whatever.
‘I think that stems from Marcus as well and hear me out on this when Marcus is throwing his arms about and the world owes him a favour.
‘What if you’re a young player you’re looking up to him. Why would you not go “well I’m gonna act the same way”.
Rashford will be hoping to remain in the starting XI under new manager Ruben Amorim, who will take charge of the team for the first time after the international break when the Red Devils travel to Ipswich Town.
United then host Bodo/Glimt in the Europa League before Everton in the Premier League in a very busy first week in the dugout for Amorim.
