Feyenoord’s Neraysho Kasanwirjo has been on loan at Rangers since the summer and made 12 appearances for Philippe Clement’s side before suffering a serious knee injury in November.

The 22-year-old is set for a long spell on the sidelines and is unlikely to feature again for Rangers.

That’s according to Feyenoord Pings, who cover the Rangers man when sharing the latest on the Eredivisie side’s plans for the winter market.

Dinamo Zagreb are keen on signing Feyenoord’s Luka Ivanušec on loan and there’s a deal in place between the parties. They are waiting for the Dutch club to give them the green light to complete the operation.

Feyenoord have reached the limit of sending players out on loan and need to first free up space before letting Ivanušec go out on a temporary deal. The Dutchman’s situation at Rangers can be key to unlocking the 26-year-old Croatian’s transfer.

Kasanwirjo is in Rotterdam working on his recovery and is still linked to Philippe Clement’s side. His parent club want to terminate his loan deal with the Scottish club in January and have ‘planned a meeting’ with Rangers on Monday.

Feyenoord are waiting to end Kasanwirjo’s loan deal at Rangers to send Ivanušec on loan to Dinamo Zagreb. Whether this could save Rangers some money on wages isn’t made clear.
