Liverpool fans are convinced Mohamed Salah took to social media to post a cryptic message to owners Fenway Sports Group.

Arne Slot's side were dealt with a frustrating 2-2 draw to bitter rivals Man United despite goals from Cody Gakpo and Salah.

After the match, the Egyptian posted a photo on social media including teammates Trent Alexander-Arnold and Virgil van Dijk leaving fans guessing.

They are all able to negotiate with other clubs in a pre-contract agreement since they all have just six months left on their deals.

Despite the Reds being confident they can agree on a deal for Salah, the Egyptian star has admitted that the two parties are "far away" from making any progress.

Fans, already frustrated with owners FSG following Salah's comments, have reacted similarly to his latest social media post.

The winger has been instrumental for Liverpool this season, delivering incredible form. He has racked up 21 goals and 17 assists in just 27 games across all competitions, making his contract situation all the more perplexing.

It's unclear why the club has stalled for so long on all three deals. This delay has allowed juggernaut Real Madrid to begin talks with Alexander-Arnold, whose head appears to be turning.

Manager Slot surely won't be pleased that the ongoing contract drama continues to dominate headlines. They are overshadowing his team's impressive performances this season. Liverpool currently holds a six-point advantage over Arsenal at the top of the league table.

Salah's cryptic post, featuring all three players and no caption, has left fans both frustrated with the situation and supportive of the forward.

One fan remarked that this is a "slight dig" at the club for allowing the situation to linger, while another confidently claimed, "this is a message to FSG”.

Others called the situation "genuinely embarrassing" adding that Slot is unfairly bearing the brunt of the fallout.
