Chelsea are struggling to give all of their players the minutes they deserve this season.

The Blues have a bloated squad at the moment, and with many of their key players performing so well, Enzo Maresca hasn't had much reason to change things up.

Christopher Nkunku is one player who is struggling for minutes right now, and Nkunku is reportedly getting frustrated with his situation at Stamford Bridge.

The Frenchman is reportedly getting fed up of sitting on the bench, and he may be looking for a move soon.

Manchester United have been linked with Nkunku recently, but according to Ben Jacobs, that rumour isn't quite accurate.

Manchester United haven't asked about Christopher Nkunku

Speaking on the London is Blue podcast, Jacobs shared an update on Nkunku.

The journalist says that Nkunku is likely to get more minutes as the season goes on, while he says that Manchester United haven't actually asked about the Chelsea star.

"It reminds me of Levi Colwill in the summer, we knew the player wanted guarantees, and when these reports come out in the media, it allows the player to send a message to the club without banging on the door," Jacobs said.

"Nkunku you would expect to start games in the festive period or the second-half of the season. I'm not aware that he's asked to leave or he's been put on the market, and it's certainly not true to my understanding that Manchester United have made any kind of enquiry, contrary to some reports out there."

Christopher Nkunku stats this season

Nkunku is getting fed up with his lack of gametime this season, and it's not hard to understand why.

The Frenchman simply isn't getting the minutes he deserves in the Premier League, and it's even more frustrating because he's shining in other competitions.

His stats in Europe and in the cups is stellar, but that form in those competitions isn't being rewarded with Premier League minutes.

Chelsea have improved massively this season, but their squad composition is still something of a mess.

Nkunku isn't the only player in this position, Enzo Fernandez also isn't getting much gametime either, and it may not be long before both players are asking their manager for a chat.

Enzo Maresca may need to find a way to manage these players' gametime, because it's seemingly starting to become a bit of a problem.
