West Ham's striker curse seems to be never ending.

From Sebastien Haller to Niclas Fullkrug, West Ham keep buying striker after striker only for their number nines to fail to make much of an impact.

Graham Potter is the new West Ham manager, and the club may well back their new gaffer with yet another striker signing.

Marcus Rashford has been linked to West Ham recently, and, via The Guardian, West Ham also want Rodrigo Muniz.

West Ham are considering a loan with a £30m option to buy Muniz, but, this deal appears to be a non-starter.

Indeed, speaking in his press conference this week, Marco Silva has said that there's no chance he'd have any discussions about selling Muniz.

Marco Silva won't sell Rodrigo Muniz

Silva spoke about Muniz, claiming that there has been no contact about the striker.

Fulham have been linked with Igor Jesus recently, but despite those links, Silva is not open to selling Muniz.

"We are not even open to listen to anything about Rodrigo. No one has contacted us because it will be a quick and easy answer from ourselves. No chance at all to even start to talk,” Silva said.

What Marco Silva said about Jay Stansfield and Joao Palhinha

Silva has ruled out selling Muniz to West Ham, but, as Fulham fans may know, Silva's word isn't always golden.

Indeed, over the summer, Silva said that both Joao Palhinha and Jay Stansfield would be staying at Fulham.

"He's been a key player for us", the Fulham manager said about Palhinha, via The Standard.

"He was a player I really pushed to convince him to come to our football club.

"Last season he made a huge impact. This season, even after the situation in August and with all that noise, he was able to turn it around.

"Of course, he is a key player for us. He is going to play in the last game [at Luton on Sunday]. Let's hope he has a good [Euro 2024] tournament. Next season he is going to be here."

Meanwhile, Silva made a similar claim about Stansfield, via The Standard.

"He's going to be back with us", Silva said of Stansfield. "Everything we planned, apart from the collective goal of Birmingham which was not what we wanted, was a box [ticked].

"He played the season before in League One [with Exeter City], and to be able to give a step forward in the Championship and be an important piece in the attack-line and score important goals [was pleasing]. Jay achieved all the important things.

"Now is the moment for him to come back and be one of the players in our attacking line for next season."

Ultimately, Palhinha and Stansfield would both leave to join Bayern Munich and Birmingham City respectively, so perhaps there may still be some scope for Muniz to make a move this month.
