'No way': Ian Wright reckons people at Arsenal are surprised by how good £40m player is

Arsenal picked up their first Champions League win of the season on Tuesday evening as they dismantled PSG.
Arsenal won 2-0 against PSG on Tuesday, and there were a number of strong performances on the night.
Indeed, the likes of Kai Havertz and Leandro Trossard were very solid in midweek, while Riccardo Calafiori was, once again, excellent against PSG.
Speaking on the Wrighty's House Podcast, Ian Wright has been discussing Calafiori's performance against PSG.
The pundit says that Calafiori was brilliant against PSG, stating that he believes Arsenal may even be shocked by how good the £40m man is.
Riccardo Calafiori is better than expected
Wright spoke highly of the defender.
"Calafiori you know, when Zinchenko came we saw a massive change with the progression of the ball and how Mikel wanted to play. Now, it's ramped up to another level with Calafiori. I didn't know he had this much in his armoury," Wright said.
"For someone who has just come in, you hear people say they need to settle into the team and with their teammates, he's plug and play, he gets it instantly.
"We're seeing it, there's no way we thought we were getting this much of a player, there's no way."
Arsenal thought Riccardo Calafiori would be brilliant
Wright reckons that Arsenal will be surprised by Calafiori's brilliance so far, but the Gunners did see this coming.
Indeed, even before the Italian signed, Fabrizio Romano said that Arsenal viewed Calafiori as the perfect signing.
"Calafiori is considered the perfect signing for Arsenal because he can play at centre-back, but he is a left-back, he started his career as a left-back, he always played as a left-back, and he's considered a perfect option in both positions," Romano said.
Arsenal thought they were getting a perfect signing in the shape of Calafiori, and, so far, they're being proven right.
Calafiori has been an incredible addition to this Arsenal side, that's for sure.
