Despite their best efforts against Manchester United in the FA Cup, Arsenal weren't able to find a winner in just over an hour of football with one extra player at the Emirates Stadium.

Mikel Arteta's side were clearly buoyed by Diogo Dalot's ill-timed challenge – Arsenal looked destined to find a winner in the 90 minutes.

However, Ruben Amorim's side stood firm with 10 men and Arsenal were ultimately crestfallen after losing a penalty shootout which always felt as if it would go in Altay Bayindir's favour.

Another frustrating night for fans in N5 and for Arteta, whose injury crisis only worsened against United, perhaps losing Gabriel Jesus to a long-term knee injury.

Gary Lineker shares his complaint about Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium

That being said, Gary Lineker had an interesting complaint to make about the Emirates Stadium when speaking on 'The Rest is Football' podcast after the game.

Lineker and Alan Shearer were predominantly talking about Arsenal's need for a new striker, but the pundit then mentioned one issue with the view for presenters at the Emirates, despite the ground being relatively new.

Lineker said: "Well, Alan, you had the perfect view from the gantry didn’t you?

"I mean, we were, I must say, for what is a relatively new ground, the TV facilities and studio at the ground are not very good at the Emirates.

"You’ll be stuck in a corner and you can’t, unless you stand up to the right hand side, you cannot see anything.

"I mean, obviously, those things are designed for people to go and see outside, but you can’t do that on TV.

"But you can only see half the pitch, so you end up having to watch it on telly, which seems a shame from when you go in there.

"But what was your view with that expansive view that you had from the halfway line?"

Positioned in the commentators box himself, Shearer then replied: "My view was amazing, having to look down and having to look at all of the players."

Arsenal are paying for Edu’s last transfer window at the club

Whilst Lineker might be right, the TV facilities at the Emirates will be the last thing on the mind of decision makers at Arsenal right now.

Ruben Amorim made a claim about Arsenal's players after winning in north London, one that it's hard to disagree with right now.

In fairness to Arsenal, they couldn't have expected to suffer so many damaging injuries this season.

But the summer transfer window, which was Edu's last at the club, now appears very underwhelming – Arsenal's squad didn't necessarily improve too much as a result.

Mikel Merino has his doubters, and Riccardo Calafiori is already often injured – two excellent players but ones who are still trying to find their feet at Arsenal.
