There's a claim in the Turkish media that Nottingham Forest have again stepped up their pursuit to sign Galatasaray forward Barış Alper Yılmaz.
The 24-year-old has been linked with a move to the Premier League side since the summer after he impressed during Euro 2024. There were reports Forest had tabled an offer for the winger towards the end of the last window.
Fotospor report Nottingham Forest, along with Lazio, have now approached Galatasaray via 'official' means and have probed the possibility of the Istanbul side selling Yılmaz before the transfer deadline.
Both clubs were reported to have scouted the attacker during a recent Galatasaray game, but it now seems like they may have to wait until the summer to sign the player.
With Gala fighting on three fronts in their quest for silverware, the Super Lig side are keen to keep hold of him at least until the end of the season. Cimbom's manager Okan Buruk has also recently made it clear he wants his star forward to remain at the club.
Yılmaz is contracted to Galatasaray until June 2027.
