Liverpool produced a quite stunning attacking display to beat Tottenham and former Crystal Palace man Clinton Morrison has suggested one Reds star had his best game yet.

Mohamed Salah and Luis Diaz were the two main attacking threats for Liverpool throughout but they were both backed up by some fine efforts from elsewhere.

Arne Slot looked on as his midfield bossed proceedings, allowing Salah and co to punish Tottenham.

And looking at that Liverpool midfielder, Clinton Morrison has lauded the performance of Dominik Szoboszlai.

Dominik Szoboszlai told he had his best Liverpool game yet v Tottenham

Speaking on the BBC Five Live commentary during the game, Morrison admitted to being impressed by the Reds and in particular, midfielder Szoboszlai.

Indeed, Morrison suggested the Hungarian had one of his best ever games in a Reds shirt.

“The one-two touches from midfield to the front – I thought Liverpool were outstanding. Dominik Szoboszlai in midfield, one of the best games I have seen,” Morrison said.

“It was a professional performance from Liverpool. n the first half it was breath taking.”

Liverpool fans love Dominik Szoboszlai’s new role

In fairness to Arne Slot, there was a clear directive from the manager to ensure Dominik Szoboszlai got further forward and helped out his forwards.

And in repaying his manager’s faith, Szoboszlai did indeed perform.

Liverpool fans loved seeing Szoboszlai in that advanced role and it will be interesting to see if Slot continues to deploy him in that role going forward.

Right now, Liverpool getting more output from the Hungarian further up the field is just what they need and he could end up proving a pivotal player in the run-in.
