Earlier on Saturday, we covered claims from Portuguese newspaper O Jogo which stated Wolves are moving to sign Manu Silva from Vitória de Guimarães before the end of the month.

He’s a 23-year-old defensive midfielder who moved from Feirense in 2023 and has gradually become important for his club. Manu has played 28 matches so far this season and despite being a defensive midfielder he's found the back of the net four times and contributed two assists.

As far as O Jogo had it, Wolves are willing to pay €10m to secure Manu’s signing from Vitória de Guimarães in January.

Well, it would appear this story is rather more widespread, with all the major Portuguese sport newspaper having something.

A Bola state the offer is €10m plus €2m in bonuses, and 15% of profit from a future transfer. They say Manu ‘may be on his way out’, with the move being negotiated, the player presented as keen, and clear optimism a deal will be done.

Record are even more confident, reporting the transfer is set to happen ‘very soon’, as negotiations go on. Those negotiations are being managed by Jorge Mendes, naturally, and the transfer can be concluded in ‘the next few days’.
