'Probably': Gary Neville has a theory about what Daniel Levy is trying to do at Tottenham right now

Tottenham Hotspur feel like they're in a period of stagnation right now.
A few years ago, Spurs were primed and ready to kick on, they'd just moved into their new stadium and they were Champions League finalists.
However, over the past few years, Spurs have struggled, they've been in and out of the top European competitions, and they still haven't won a trophy.
Daniel Levy, as ever, is having the finger pointed at him for his part in all of this.
Hugo Lloris recently noted Levy's lack of ambition and drive, and that seems to be holding Spurs back right now.
Speaking on It's called Soccer, Gary Neville has been discussing Spurs' long-term vision, and he reckons that Daniel Levy may be looking to sell the club right now.
Daniel Levy may be looking to sell Tottenham
Neville shared his theory on Tottenham and the current state of affairs at Spurs.
Neville believes that Spurs are currently looking to sell and that a huge owner could come in to takeover the club.
"If Tottenham had won four trophies in the past 10 years, that would be a fantastic period for Tottenham. If Ange can win an FA Cup this year and build on that with maybe a League Cup or a top four finish, that's a successful period," Neville said.
"You're up against giants as Tottenham. They're probably trying to sell the club I would imagine, they're probably trying to bring in this huge owner to fund the team and spend the money that the Chelsea's the Manchester United's, City's and Arsenal's have spent. That will not happen under the current ownership."
Who could buy Tottenham?
Neville says that Spurs may be looking to sell, and that is an interesting theory.
Indeed, there have been a number of reported interested parties in Spurs in recent times.
Amanda Staveley has been spotted at Tottenham recently amid reports she is putting together an investment group to buy Spurs.
Meanwhile, an Abu-Dhabi based investment group are also said to be keen on buying Tottenham, while Daniel Levy did have talks with QSI a few years ago.
Tottenham aren't necessarily officially on the market, but as the old saying goes, there's no smoke without fire, and the fact that so many investors are circling suggests that Spurs could be under new ownership before too long.
This is certainly a situation to keep an eye on as Tottenham look to push and re-establish themselves as one of the elite teams in the Premier League.
