There's a claim in the German media that it's looking unlikely Vaclav Cerny will remain with Rangers beyond this season.

The 27-year-old is currently on loan with the Ibrox club from VfL Wolfsburg and has been a regular under Philippe Clement since his arrival in the summer.

Kicker have reported on Cerny's future given he’s been impressing for Rangers in this campaign. It's explained the Scottish giants don't have an option to purchase the Czech Republic international in the summer, when his loan deal expires.

The German media outlet also say Rangers ‘don’t have the money’ to pay for transfer if they want to make his stay permanent. Wolfsburg reportedly want €9.5m for the attacker.

Cerny's future now seems to be in his hands as he isn’t in Wolfsburg's long-term plans, with the German side looking to cash in on him. West Ham United are said to be interested in signing the player and could make their move in the next window.

The right winger has made 33 appearances for Rangers this season, scoring 12 goals. He's contracted to Wolfsburg until June 2027.
