Rangers fans have demanded that Cyriel Dessers is sold for free after footage was analysed from their dominant victory in the Scottish Cup.

The Gers thrashed Fraserburgh 5-0 to progress in the competition on Sunday (19 January), with Dessers himself scoring a hattrick while Clinton Nsiala and Ross McCausland got on the scoresheet.

However, the 30-year-old striker also missed a sitter from seven yards out as he sent the ball flying way wide of the goal.

The striker was saved his blushes by the offside flag, but fans still shared their frustration about him online.

Dessers has scored 16 times this season for Rangers, but his inconsistency in front of goal has led supporters becoming annoyed with him.

The Nigeria international has lost his place as the first-choice striker at Ibrox this season because of that, falling down the pecking order under Philippe Clement.

Rangers fans have seen enough of Cyriel Dessers

Football Insider revealed that the Scottish giants are willing to accept a "major offer" for Dessers in the January transfer window to reinvest in the squad.

However, Rangers fans would be happy to see the club let him go for nothing after his miss at the weekend.

In other news, Rangers chief could make 'radical' changes after Ibrox protest – Stefan Borson.
