Crystal Palace are currently in a precarious position ahead of their return to Premier League action.

Oliver Glasner's Eagles haven't kicked on from their bright end to last season and are currently sitting 18th in the table without a league win to their name.

New signings could be on the cards for Palace in the January transfer window as they no doubt want to strengthen their ranks to avoid the drop.

Now the Eagles could be set to steal a march on the likes of Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester United and Bayern Munich in pursuit of a very exciting young forward.

Crystal Palace plotting to swoop in for Bazoumana Toure

According to Expressen, Palace have been showing keen interest in Hammarby’s Bazoumana Toure since the end of July.

Bayern Munich, Bayer Leverkusen, Eintracht Frankfurt, Celtic and Liverpool are also in the race, added the report.

Meanwhile, The Mirror previously reported that Toure is on the radar of Arsenal and Manchester United too.

Expressen says Palace want to try to 'make an early impact', to gain advantage over others in the market.

It's claimed that the Eagles are 'preparing an offer' to sign Toure in the winter market.

And while Hammarby want to keep him, the report claims they won't be able to 'resist bids' in January.

They have apparently informed Touré's suitors that they will need at least €9million (£7.5million) for talks to get under way.

Expressen don't specify what Palace are willing to offer, but the Premier League side have apparently been informed about the fee needed to open discussions.

Fabrizio Romano says Toure is a ‘very interesting and promising talent’

Toure has been on fire since joining Hammarby from ASEC Mimosas in March. He already has seven goals and three assists from 19 appearances.

Early in October, Fabrizio Romano spoke to CaughtOffside about links between Toure and Man United.

He said: "Some fans have asked me about the reports in the Swedish media linking the Red Devils with Hammarby's 18-year-old talent Bazoumana Toure.

"However, my understanding is that there is nothing concrete happening at the moment, it's just normal scouting activity.

"For sure, Toure is a very interesting and promising talent so obviously clubs are following him, but not only United.

"It's more than ten clubs sending their scouts to follow him, so at the moment it's just a case of clubs monitoring the player and it's too early to mention things about his future."
