Transfer plans are already starting to be drawn out across the Premier League.

The summer window has only just closed but clubs are plotting their Janaury business, including Newcastle United.

Eddie Howe is eyeing Aston Villa’s Jhon Duran, who could be made available for sale despite his terrific start to the season.

Newcastle are also expected to receive interest in some of their first-teamers and with that said, two Premier League clubs are looking closely at one.

Fulham and Brentford want to sign Callum Wilson

According to The Sun, Premier League duo Fulham and Brentford are keeping tabs on Newcastle striker Callum Wilson ahead of the January window.

The 32-year-old is currently nursing a back injury and is yet to feature for Eddie Howe’s side so far this term.

Wilson has been plagued by injury in recent years so Newcastle may be open to sanctioning his sale mid-season.

The former Bournemouth striker is thought to be open to leaving Tyneside as he remains the second-choice number nine to Alexander Isak.

Callum Wilson unlikely to leave Newcastle

TBR Football understands Wilson’s exit will be difficult as he is one of the club’s highest earners which was a big reason why he didn’t move in the summer.

Further, Newcastle will not let him go unless they bring in a replacement in January – sources suggest he is likely to stay because of those reasons.

The Magpies want to free up funds so they can make another attempt at signing the £75m-rated Marc Guehi, so they’ll have to look at a more realistic sale elsewhere.
