Liverpool have gone into the international break maintaining their spot at the top of the Premier League table.

After a summer that provided a lot of questions surrounding the club’s direction following Jurgen Klopp’s exit, Liverpool have so far impressed massively.

The arrival of Arne Slot has seen the Merseyside club take 18 points from their opening seven games with their only blemish on the record coming against Nottingham Forest.

However, there were some concerns surrounding the lack of transfer activity at Anfield over the summer with no new midfielder brought in.

Liverpool were rejected by Real Sociedad’s Martin Zubimendi who decided to remain in La Liga despite strong interest from the Reds.

And it now seems as if Liverpool could be set to lose one of their current players who is now open to potentially leaving the club.

Liverpool midfielder ready to leave Anfield

Despite being in need of midfield additions, it seems as if the Reds could be in line to lose one of their current options over the coming months.

Still in the early stages of his time on Merseyside, Slot will still be assessing the options which he inherited from Klopp’s time at the club.

But with the January transfer window approaching, there is one player who is eyeing a potential exit in search of more regular game time.

According to Caught Offside, Liverpool midfielder Wataru Endo would be open to the prospect of leaving Liverpool this summer.

Liverpool are also said to be open to selling the Japan international with offers in the region of €15m-€20m (£12.5m-£16.5m).

There are already a number of Premier League clubs who are switched on to Endo’s situation with Ipswich Town, Fulham and Wolves all showing an interest.

The 31-year-old is keen to move on if it is a transfer which would see him earn more regular minutes in the starting XI.

Wataru Endo needs a fresh start away from Liverpool

Gary Neville has already shared his concerns about Endo at Liverpool after what has been a slow start to the season for the midfielder.

The ‘incredible‘ 31-year-old has only came on in the Premier League in two of Liverpool’s seven games where has has racked up two cameo appearances.

His only meaningful minutes have come in the Carabao Cup against West Ham and he did not even see out the full 90 minutes then.

With the January window quickly approaching, it is apparent Endo is in need of a fresh start if he is to find himself some regular minutes.
