Arsenal have a rich history of academy graduates.

The Emirates has staged a number of talented players from the academy in recent years, most notably Bukayo Saka.

Saka has established himself as one of the best players in the Premier League which is a testament to the coaching and culture of Hale End.

Now, it appears The Gunners have another gem emerging through the ranks and Mikel Arteta is considering handing him his full Premier League debut soon.

Mikel Arteta considering handing Myles Lewis-Skelly full Premier League debut

According to GiveMeSport, Mikel Arteta has been closely watching Myles Lewis-Skelly and is a huge admirer of the 17-year-old midfielder.

Lewis-Skelly made his Arsenal debut at the weekend, coming off the bench late on against Manchester City.

The England youth international has the complete belief of Arteta after impressing for the under-21s and. in training.

With Martin Odegaard currently out injured, it’s freed up a role in the midfield for Lewis-Skelly, who may well feature again on Saturday, as Arsenal play host to newly-promoted Leicester City.

Lewis-Skelly is a supremely technical midfielder who operates as a number six, dictating the tempo of games.

Highly-respected talent scout Jacek Kulig has described the the left-footed maestro as ‘press resistant’ in his report.

“Very good composure and retention skills in tight spaces and under pressure/press-resistant player,” Kulig wrote.

“Knows how to dictate tempo, he's creative and has the natural ability of an 'orchestrator' midfielder who can perform at all midfield positions.”
